Six Liberal Democrat stakeboards were vandalised in Hoddlesden and Darwen on Sunday night, just hours after they were put up.

Lib Dem clean-up continues in Marsh House

Marsh House Liberal Democrats have continued their clean up campaign in the area. This is in response to their questionnaire which showed local people were concerned about the amount of litter. Rather than wait for the Council, local Lib Dems got together to clean parts of the area. This was their third Saturday and they cleaned alon Pole Lane, Sough Rd, Priory Drive and the area on Marsh House Lane where the Council had cut down trees.

Lib Dems listen and act in Marsh House

Liberal Democrats in Marsh House Ward,Darwen have been asking local people their views on their area. One of the areas highlighted from residents replies to the questionnaire was litter. Lib Dems decided to act and last Saturday (8 April) a group of Lib Dem members litter picked. They went arounf Edmund St, Progress St, Lily St, Philip St and parts of Sudell Rd, Kay St, Highfield Rd and Ratcliffe St.

Joan Hepple to stand for Lib Dems in Marsh House

Darwen Liberal Democrats have selected local Marsh House resident Joan Hepple to fight the Marsh House Ward Town Council by-election on 4 May. Local people will have 3 votes at theis election; one for the Borough Council and two for the Town Council. Joan will be joining Paul Browne (for the Borough Council) and Simon Hugill (for the Town Council).
