Blackburn Lib Dems have chosen Irfan Ahmad to fight to forthcoming election on 8 June.

"I am delighted to have been selected to fight the Blackburn seat by the Liberal Democrats on 8th June.

"As a party we have a lot of rebuilding to do and that is exactly one of the reasons why I am standing to help the party grow in towns like Blackburn.

"I was born in Lancashire and was directly impacted by the centralisation of A&E Departments in East Lancashire and that's why if elected I will be banging at the door of Whitehall to demand more money for Blackburn's A&E Department that is struggling to cope.
