Lib Dem posters attacked

29 May 2017

Six Liberal Democrat stakeboards were vandalised in Hoddlesden and Darwen on Sunday night, just hours after they were put up.

Lib Dem candidate for Rossendale and Darwen, Sean Bonner, said: "It just goes to show the extent of concern we've caused among those who don't want us to win.

"People have realised that the Lib Dems are increasingly the main threat to the Conservatives in Rossendale and Darwen. Former Labour and Tory voters are telling me they'll vote Lib Dem this time as we're the sensible middle ground with a plan to save the NHS.

"This intolerance has given us even more enthusiasm for going out on the doorstep to spread our message of hope for the NHS and social care with our penny tax, a fair deal for local schools, protection of key relations with our European friends and a firm rejection of fracking in Lancashire."
