Brown bin collection days to change in Blackburn & Darwen

The Government also announced details of the national scholarship programme that will provide students from disadvantaged backgrounds help with the cost of attending university. Around 50,000 students a year could be awarded a scholarship from 2014. Scholarships will be worth at least £3,000 for individual students in tuition discounts and other benefits.
Liberal Democrta Group Leader, Cllr David Foster was allowed back on Blackburn with Darwen's Executive Board last night after being excluded for the past 4 months. In a question to the Labour Leader of the Council Cllr. Foster pointed out that they had been in breach of the constitution for the past 4 months by not allowing a member of the second opposition party onto the Board.
The agreement announced on 9th February between the goverment and leading banks shows that the Government is taking action to ensure that the banks pay their fair share in tax, show restraint in pay and bonuses and offer real support to businesses and the regions.
