Whitehall "Blooming" again

The 2013 "Whitehall in Bloom" competition has been announced. This competition is to encourage residents, businesses, schools, community groups etc to take pride in their area. It follows on from the succesful first competition last year.

It is organised by the Town and Borough Councillors for the Whitehall Ward in Darwen and the competition has categories for:

Best large garden

Best small garden

Best yard/patio/balcony

Best school/community group

Best business entry

Best hanging basket

Best junior tub (under 12 years old)

• Closing date for entries Monday 22 July 2013. Judging will

take place from Monday 28 July. Event sponsored by WEC

There will be a presentation event at Whitehall Hotel on 2nd September.
