Water crisis areas could get compensation

10 Aug 2015

United Utilities have said that areas affected by the recent water contamination crisis will be sent letters detailing possible compensation. Residents in some areas of Blackburn and Lower Darwen were advised to boil water after a parasite was found in samples of water tested at a treatment plant in Preston. The restrictions have now been lifted from these areas except for the Roman Rd Industrial Estate.
