New Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen installed

Cllr Karimeh Foster, Liberal Democrat Councillor for Whitehall Ward in Darwen has been installed as the Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen.

In her inaugral speech Councillor Foster said she wanted to do all she could to bring different groups together and do all she could to help promote the borough both nationally and internationally.

Councillor Foster has been a councillor for 19 years and was born near Bethlehem in what was then Jordan.
