The Liberal Democrats have called a Special Conference to discuss the coalition agreement. Leader of the Lib Dem Group on Blackburn with Darwen Council, Cllr David Foster will be attending the Conference. He said, "The Party's M.P.s and Federal executive supported the agreement overwhelmingly. It is important that as a democratic party we give members a chance to discuss it. The conference shows how open the Lib Dems are and the conference is open to all members of the party."

The conference will be held in Birmingham on Sunday afternoon and a vote will be taken on the partnership agreement.
