Blackburn & Darwen Liberal Democrats are making a determined bid to change the control of Blackburn with Darwen Council.

Labour only needs to lose 3 seats to lose overall control and Liberal Democrats are expecting to make significant gains in the 2006 Local Elections.

Liberal Democrats are defending 3 seats: Marsh House and Whitehall in Darwen and Little Harwood in Blackburn. They are expecting to hold onto these but gain extra seats as well. Currently they have 11 seats on the Council, the biggest number in their history.
