The two former "For Darwen" Councillors for Earcroft Ward in Darwen have now made it official and joined forces with the Labour Group on Blackburn with Darwen Council.

Lib Dem Group Leader, Cllr David Foster said, "At last they they have come clean and in effect joined the Labour Group. I am sure local people will be anxious to know on what basis they have joined with Labour. What Labour policies do they now support that they did not before. Only a few months ago they agreed a set of policies with the Lib Dem and Conservatives now they seemed to have changed their minds. Cllr. Hollern claimed that the Labour Party were forming a stable administration, but if they are dependent on the support of these two councillors, who chop and change, I am not sure how stable it can be."
