Darwen 3 day market

In criticisung the decision Lib Dem Leader David Foster said, We believe this decision is premature, there has been no consultation on whether to keep the 3 day market, no exploration on different ways to run the market and no study of the retail needs of Darwen over the next 10 years. The decision is also being takne in isolation. The Council's own study shows that £800,000 needs spending on the rest of the market complex and there is no mention of that in the report. In addition money needs to spent on unrgent repairs identified in study but insufficient money has been set aside for this and not until 2017/18."
