Cllr Roy Davies, Councillor for Darwen East on Blackburn with Darwen Council has written to the Council's Chief Executive about the lack of enforcement regarding face masks. Cllr Davies said, "

I am concerned at the attitude to the Corona virus epidemic and how one of the most important things that we can do as a nation is face protection and the use of face masks has deteriorated

I refer to the lack of enforcement both by shops and the fact that some shops that should know better regarding face coverings are stating that it is up to the Police to enforce!!! And are allowing shoppers who are not wearing face covering's to be served, when they know full well that they should be asked to leave.

The Mall which states that face covering's must be worn are not enforcing their rules, and shops that not too long ago had staff manning the doors, only allowing 2 shoppers at a time, now have no-one outside checking to see if masks are being worn?
