Cllr Foster condemns Labour decision making as a shambles

Liberal Democrat Leader of Blackburn with Darwen Council, Cllr. David Foster has described the Labour Council's decision making as in a shambles following last night's Executive Board meeting.

Cllr. Foster explained,"I warned both the Leader of the Council and the Chief Executive that their decision to reorganise the senior management of the Council should have been taken by the Executive Board and not behind closed doors by the Leader. My complaints were dismissed and took steps to Call-In the decision. Just before last night's Executive Board Meeting the Council did an about face and said that it should go to the Board. At least some officers did and other did not. The report was presented at then presented even though members of the Executive Board did not know it was coming and had no time to read it."

"This is the biggest decision the Labour administration has had to make so far and they have completely botched it up. I hate to think how they will handle more difficult decisions that lie ahead." said Cllr. Foster
