Whitehall Councillors David & Karimeh Foster have challenged the Council to act to stop flooding across the A666 at Bull Hill, Darwen. Water drains of the fileds behind the Oceon Palace restaurant and flows across the road with potential flooding problems in heavy rain. It also poses a danger to motorists in icy weather.

Cllr Foster explained, "We have been trying to get this sorted for some years now and are now calling on the Council to install a drain where the water pours off the field to prevent it running across the road."

The Councillors are also fighting to stop the Car Wash company at Mill Gap (opposite St. Joseph's Church is Darwen) from discharging waste water across the footpath. This again is dangerous in icy weather and has caused at least one accident in the past.
