Andrew Rankine selected as Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Hyndburn
Hyndburn Liberal Democrats are pleased to announce the selection of their PPC to fight the Hyndburn seat in the forthcoming General election.
Andrew is in his second term of office as Local Party Chair in Skipton & Ripon and was recently elected at the regional conference to the English Council in London. Cllr. Rankine, was a member of Craven District Council from 1996 to 1999. He has been the deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on Skipton Town Council since 2003 and is currently in his 3rd term as deputy Leader of Skipton Town Council, he has held his Skipton West seat since 1996. He was Mayor of Skipton in 2002 -2003. His Ward has the largest Muslim population in the whole County of North Yorkshire, and he is well known within the community. Andrew, spent his formative years in Liverpool, is married, and was once North Yorkshire Regional Chair and National Vice chair of Victim Support National Council in London.
